This knife was hand forged in the style of a french Boucheron trade knife.

The blade is made from recycled 5160 carbon steel from the shock springs off a large truck hand forged in a coal forge and hand filed into shape.

The handle is made from two flat pieces of cow horn sandwiched together and affixed to the blade with copper rivets.

The tang of the blade is slightly shorter than the handle and tapers to its base, this was done on the originals to save steel and to make the knife lighter.

The blade of this knife measures 6 1/2" the handle measures 4 1/4" with an overall measurement of 10 5/8"

A must have for Early French and Indian War impressions,

This knife comes with a hand stitched sheath made from 8 oz. Waxed leather and made to fit the blade well.
