The blade of this knife was hand forged from 5160 carbon steel recycled from the coil springs off of an old truck and hand filed into shape leaving some of the forge and file marks in the blade just as some of the originals have.

The handle is made from polished cows horn decorated rith a carved shell design and secured to the tang with brass rivets.

This knife has an integral bolster forged into the top of the handle that has been decorated with some file work.

The tang of this knife tapers to its base as was done on some 18th century examples. This was done to conserve metal and to make the entire knife a little lighter.

This knife has a blade that measures11 1/4“, a handle that measures 4 5/8“ and an overall measurement of 16“.

This knife comes with a hand stitched sheath made from 8 oz. Waxed leather and made to fit the blade well.
