This kit contains everything necessary to start a traditional flint and steel fire right out of the box.
The flint striker in this kit has been hand forged from 1095 high carbon steel recycled from worn hand files and specially heat treated to throw alot of sparks off of a flint stone. The striker measures 4" long by 1 5/8" wide by 1/4" thick.
The kit comes with approximately 10 pieces of char cloth made from a thick cotton material. 1 piece of flint stone. A ball of jute fiber tinder. A carrying bag and printed instructions detailing how to start a fire with flint and steel.
