This knife was hand forged in the style of a french Boucheron trade knife.
The blade is made from recycled 5160 carbon steel from the shock springs off a large truck hand forged in a coal forge and hand filed into shape.
The handle is made figured curly maple and affixed to the blade with iron rivets than the handle was stained using traditional Aqua Fortis stain and finished with multiple coats of linseed oil and beeswax.
The tang of the blade is slightly shorter than the handle and tapers to its base, this was done on the originals to save steel and to make the knife lighter.

The sheath is made from 8 oz. Waxed leather and made to fit the blade well.
